Easy Exercises for Vacation - Travel Fitness Diaries

I know I'm not the only one who gets a little self conscious in a hotel gym that has other people in it. Sometimes I will even avoid going to the gym if it means joining a muscular, body-builder type guy in the room. With that said, I'm here to help you if you struggle with the same thoughts. Here are six great exercises that you can do in your hotel room (even if there is limited space). There is an easier option and a more difficult option for each.


By the way, before we start. Did you know that swimming is one of the best cardio exercises you can do? So go take advantage of the hotel pool and swim some laps or walk in the water.


#1 WARM UP

Jumping Jacks (10x/4 reps)

Jump Squats (10x/4 reps)

#2 LEGS

Squats (10x/4 reps)

Squats in Releve (10/4 reps)

#3 ABS

Elbow Plank (30 seconds)

Elbow Plank (60 seconds)

#4 ABS

Mountain Climbers with Towel/Sliding Disc (10x/4 reps)

Mountain Climbers (10x/4 reps)

#5 ARMS

Triceps Dips on Chair (10x/4 reps)

Triceps Dips on Chair with Straight Legs (10x/4 reps)

#6 ARMS

Push-Ups Modified (10x/4 reps)

Push-Ups (10x/4 reps)

Don't forget to cool down with some releasing stretches. Make sure you are stretching out the same muscles you worked to prevent soreness. What are your favorite exercises to do in your hotel room?
