Hello everyone!
I am very excited to introduce you to my guest blogger, John German. He has written a post for us today about natural treatments for sore muscles. If you would like to do more research on this subject, all of his resources have been added to the body of the article.
Everyone has been sore from an activity at some point in their life. Whatever the activity might be, such as dance. This soreness can oftentimes linger for days afterward leaving us to find ways to soothe our aches.
Luckily, there are natural methods that are very useful in finding a solution and decreasing the time we feel muscular pain. All of these options are used to help rebuild, repair, and reduce the time for recovery.
The first element of natural pain defense is natural vitamins. We can get these from various foods and in some supplements as well. Below are some of those helpful vitamins.
B Vitamins – “B vitamins are important in the body because they increase the efficiency of oxygen utilization in the muscles.”
Vitamin C – “A deficiency in vitamin C, therefore, can inhibit proper muscle function and cause muscle tightness and cramping.”
Vitamin D – “Vitamin D can help discomfort and aching in the muscles.”
Vitamin E – “Vitamin E protects muscle strength, and one symptom of a vitamin E deficiency is muscle cramping.”
The second item I’d like to present is the mental aspect. In some parts of society, people are discovering the hidden benefits of maintaining a healthy mind and positive lifestyle. One aspect of helpful mental health:
Gratitude/Thankfulness
Gratitude alleviates pain – “Gratitude decreases sensitivity to pain while improving pain tolerance. People who are more grateful in their lives feel pain in fewer places, with a much lower intensity.”
The final natural method is herbs. Life’s natural prescriptions with all-natural medicinal properties. Our bodies wondrously benefit from using these herbs. Some of these include:
Ashwagandha – “…relieve(s) inflammation, relax(es) muscles, ease(s) pain, and prevent(s) muscle spasms…”
Arnica – “…reduce(s) inflammation and soothe(s) muscle aches…”
Dong Quai – “Contains ferulic acid, a muscle relaxer and pain reliever.”
Curcumin – “It reduces inflammation by inhibiting the production of leukotrienes and improving the body’s own anti-inflammatory mechanisms. In addition, it repairs damaged muscle and acts as a powerful antioxidant.”
As you can tell, our planet provides us with a complete buffet of things to help us naturally care for our aches and pains. There are many more healthy alternatives, some of which are not mentioned in this article because the list is so extensive. Thank you for your time to read what I have written.
