I have been following this awesome blog, Alpha Foodie, for a while now and am in love with all of the recipes that I have found on there. Today I wanted to share a chia pudding/smoothie recipe that I am excited to try! Please share a picture if you make this :)
Detox Smoothie
Ingredients:
Layer 1:
1 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, or coconut milk)
3 Tablespoons chia seeds
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
Layer 2:
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 medium avocado
1/2 medium beet
1/2 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, or coconut milk)
Toppings:
frozen raspberries
Directions:
Mix all layer 1 ingredients and stir well. Allow this mixture to soak for 30 minutes or overnight in the fridge.
Blend all layer 2 ingredients until smooth.
Layer the chia pudding and smoothie and top with your raspberries. Bon appetit!
(to stick fruit on the side of the jar, cut them very thin and make sure the glass is dry, press it on and viola!)
This is great for breakfast or a fun snack. I just can't get over how beautiful it looks! What do you think?
