Monday Munchies - Detox Smoothie

I have been following this awesome blog, Alpha Foodie, for a while now and am in love with all of the recipes that I have found on there. Today I wanted to share a chia pudding/smoothie recipe that I am excited to try! Please share a picture if you make this :)


Detox Smoothie

Ingredients:

Layer 1:

  • 1 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, or coconut milk)

  • 3 Tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup

Layer 2:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 medium avocado

  • 1/2 medium beet

  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk, almond milk, or coconut milk)

Toppings:

  • frozen raspberries

Directions:

  • Mix all layer 1 ingredients and stir well. Allow this mixture to soak for 30 minutes or overnight in the fridge.

  • Blend all layer 2 ingredients until smooth.

  • Layer the chia pudding and smoothie and top with your raspberries. Bon appetit!

  • (to stick fruit on the side of the jar, cut them very thin and make sure the glass is dry, press it on and viola!)

This is great for breakfast or a fun snack. I just can't get over how beautiful it looks! What do you think?
