Now that you have a basic understanding of what it takes to lose weight, I'm going to share some great companies that sell the best nutrition bars that will help you along your weight-loss journey. They are lower in sugar, higher in protein, and contain fewer ingredients - which means that you are getting the best of the best - than the common nutrition bars you will find in stores.
They are very popular and contain great ingredients such as nuts for protein, dark chocolate, honey and molasses for sweetness, and dried fruit. These bars are slightly higher in calories but they are lower in sugar and have a great amount of protein to keep you fuller for longer in between meals. KIND offers a range of flavors in both the sweet and savory categories.
ManBake Bars
These bars are soft and chewy and pack a huge amount of protein. They are also high in fiber (great for digestion), low in sugar, and contain non-GMO ingredients. ManBake also offers Paleo and Gluten-free friendly bars, for people with sensitivities. Their chocolate chip cookie dough bar is like eating a fresh-baked cookie without the guilt. Great for sweet-cravings, but they also have less sweet flavors as well.
YAWP! Bars
Made will organic ingredients, YAWP offers great choices for snack bars. With organic almonds, organic dates (for sweetness), organic pepitas, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds, and more, these bars are perfect for anyone wanting to grab a quick snack in between meals. The bars are low in sugar, have a decent amount of protein and fiber, and contain great natural vitamins and minerals coming from the seeds and sea salt.
These bars are probably my favorite as they use grass-fed whey protein as their source of protein. They also contain chicory root fiber, gluten-free oats, fish oil (for omega-3), and monk fruit extract for sweetener. With flavors from blueberry to white chocolate raspberry, these bars will curb your cravings and are great for on-the-go.
Chia seeds are known to help you stay fuller longer as they expand with the assistance of hydration. These bars are made with organic ingredients and are low in sugar. The chia seeds will help you stay full in between meals (just make sure you are drinking a lot of water in addition to it). There are so many delicious flavors to choose from and the company also offers sample packs so that you can find the flavor that is right for you.
I love these bars but they are higher in sugar than the others I have discussed above. However, these bars contain between 4 and 6 ingredients, the first being dates (which is what sweetens the bars). The protein comes from nuts and seeds and they are lower in calories. I enjoy the chocolate-chip cookie dough flavor because it tastes like cookie dough without actually being cookie dough :).
