Monday Munchies - Cinnamon Apple Chips

Writer's picture: AmandaHowardAmandaHoward

My brother loves to eat dried apple slices whenever we take a trip to Marshalls. He usually eats the whole bag before anyone can get any themselves. Today I am sharing a recipe to make your own apple "chips" or slices (whatever you prefer to call them) that are super easy and super delicious.

I recommend dipping them in some vanilla yogurt, or plain Greek yogurt with a drizzle of maple syrup. It's like having dessert but this one is naturally healthy. Alongside the yogurt dip, these chips are great for a quick protein boost in between meals. Without the dip, the chips can be packed for a little sweet treat for dance class or road trips.

Cinnamon Apple Chips

Ingredients:

  • 4 Apples, cored and sliced 1/8” thick

  • 1-2 tsp . Ground Cinnamon

  • Coconut Oil Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

  2. Add the sliced apples to a large bowl; then coat the apples with the cinnamon.

  3. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and line the apples flat on the pan. You may need to use two pans so that they are not overlapping.

  4. Bake 2-3 hours until the chips are dry yet still soft. Allow to cool completely before placing them in an air tight container for up to 4 days or just simply enjoy right away.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday so far! Keep checking back for more posts.

Until next time,

Amanda
