The title of this post may suggest to you that there is one perfect way to start your Mondays. However, I'm going to tell you that that is untrue. You may read blogs or books that tell you that you must have a certain routine in order to be successful or to make your week successful. Just like no two people are alike, no two Mondays are alike. Every day is a gift and every day comes with its unique challenges.
I am going to share some simple ways you can make your Mondays amazing! Rather than feed you information on how to build a "proper" successful routine, I am going to share with you some things that will motivate you and help you achieve serenity as you start a new week.
#1 Be positive about Mondays
Negativity tends to take hold the moment Sunday evening rolls around as we start to think about the fact that our weekend is over. Instead of focusing on the week ahead, focus on what you have to accomplish in the here and now. This will help you remain calm.
#2 Start your day with a tall glass of water
Rather than grabbing a cup of coffee, try water with lemon. Warm water with lemon will help boost your metabolism and give you a boost in energy. Not only that, but is also helps you detox and lose/maintain weight. Staying hydrated is one of the most important ways to stay healthy and have energy.
#3 Eat a healthy meal
Eating a breakfast full of protein and some complex carbohydrates will help you start the day with energy. Try making an omelet with some whole grain toast or avocado toast.
#4 Incorporate movement into your day
Exercise is important for strengthening your muscles and joints. Sitting for long periods of time can increase stiffness in your joints and the shortening of the muscles in the legs. Regular movement will help increase endorphins (happy hormone) that will give you energy. Try and incorporate regular movement into your day. Take a morning walk before work or walk to lunch. You can also try your hand at office-compatible workouts which can be found on YouTube.
#5 Smile at those you meet
One smile can brighten anyone's day. Even if you don't receive one in return, it can still make you feel more positive. Smile as much as you can.
I hope this inspires you to remain positive about Mondays! Don't forget to enter the giveaway (1 signed copy of A Dancer's Diary, 1 signed copy of Stress Less Cooking by Deidra Howard, and 2 Yes-To Face Masks): http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/4dc3b9f53/?.
