Protein Snacks for On-The-Go

Writer's picture: AmandaHowardAmandaHoward

I know that I would have loved some on-the-go meals and snacks when I was in dance. That is why I am sharing some delicious protein bowls with you that you can take in the car with you. In A Dancer's Diary, I have also shared some great bento box ideas that would be easy to pack and take with you for when you can't sit for a proper meal.

It is super important as a dancer that you are eating 3 meals a day. You can even supplement smaller meals with snacks in between. Because you are constantly exercising, you need to replenish your body in order for it to repair, build muscle, and remove free radicals from your body. Stretching also aids in removing lactic acid and helping repair muscle tissue.

Some studios have a small refrigerator, however, if you don't I recommend packing these in a cooler if you're not eating them right away. Which one do you like the best? Or which one would you try?

Vanilla-Kiwi-Pomegranate

Greek yogurt

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 kiwi, chopped

1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

Add enough yogurt to fill a small container, mix in the protein powder, top with fruit.

Chocolate-Raspberry

Greek yogurt

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1/4 cup raspberries

Sprinkle of chocolate chunks

Add enough yogurt to fill a small container, mix in the protein powder, top with fruit and chocolate.

Vanilla-Tropical

Greek yogurt

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

4 Tablespoons fresh mango, chopped

4 Tablespoons fresh pineapple, chopped

1 passion fruit

Add enough yogurt to fill a small container, mix in the protein powder, top with fruit.

Strawberry-Almond Butter

Greek yogurt

1 scoop strawberry protein powder

1 Tablespoon chia seeds

1 Tablespoon almond butter

1/4 cup strawberries, chopped

Add enough yogurt to fill a small container, mix in the protein powder and chia seeds, top with almond butter and strawberries.

So what do you think? They sound pretty delicious right? I think my favorite would be the vanilla-tropical one. I love passion fruit! Here's the video if you'd like to see it: https://www.facebook.com/goodforyou0/videos/1272761896133610/

Bon appetite!

Until next time,

Amanda
